Akce dlouhodobě upozorňuje na potřebu druhé šance a podporu návratu lidí s trestní minulostí zpět do společnosti.

Prague, May 25, 2026 – The eleventh annual Yellow Ribbon Run, held this year in Prague's Hvězda Game Reserve, addresses the important topic of children and young people who have come into conflict with the law. The Yellow Ribbon Run has long demonstrated that even individuals who have made mistakes in life deserve support and a chance to start anew. Connecting the public, public institutions, non-profit organizations, and businesses with people who have a criminal record is key to a safer and more cohesive society.
From Heřmanice Prison, a call for a second chance rings out: The 11th annual Yellow Ribbon Run addresses rising aggression among children and young people
Ostrava, Prague, March 25, 2026 – On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the eleventh annual Yellow Ribbon Run will kick off at Heřmanice Prison. This awareness run advocates for better integration of people with criminal records and greater safety in society. This year, it addresses the theme of second chances for young people in conflict with the law. Through this yellow ribbon run, organizers also aim to highlight the importance of support, accountability, and mental health for young people who have made mistakes.
Rapper Lipo is preparing a music video for a song about second chances. Together with Kuba Ryba from the band Rybičky 48, they will raise awareness about children of incarcerated parents.
Prague, Jiřice Prison, August 18, 2025 — Renowned rapper, singer, and lyricist Lipo, an ambassador for the Yellow Ribbon Run initiative, is preparing a music video for his song 'Sáro,' which explores the theme of second chances and finding a way out of difficult life situations. He collaborated on the track with Kuba Ryba, frontman of the band Rybičky 48. “The song 'Sáro' tells the story of a person seeking a path back to life, learning to take responsibility for their mistakes, and striving to give themselves and those around them a second chance,” says Lipo.
10th Yellow Ribbon Run Had Record Attendance
The 10th annual Yellow Ribbon Run, a race that breaks down prejudices against people with a criminal past and supports their return to society, took place yesterday to exceptional public interest. In total, almost 1200 participants registered for the event. Almost 650 runners participated in the main race.

Anniversary 10th Annual Yellow Ribbon Run Brings News for Runners and Fans
The Yellow Ribbon Run, a unique run to promote the return of people with criminal pasts back into society, celebrates its 10th year and features a range of news items that reflect the values of openness, belonging and second chances. The event has long been supported by actor and scriptwriter Petr Čřestníček, presenter and patron of children of imprisoned parents, Barbora Černošková and rapper Lipo.
Virtual Yellow Ribbon Run in Jiřice Prison connected convicts and their children
An exceptional event took place in the premises of Jiřice Prison — a virtual run as part of the 10th annual Yellow Ribbon Run, which connected persons serving sentences with their children and families. The event was organized by the Jiřice Prison, the non-profit organization VOLONTÉ CZECH and the association Yellow Ribbon.
Runners with yellow ribbons ran out of the gates of Heřmanice Prison.
The staff of Heřmanice Prison and the Probation and Mediation Service in Ostrava joined forces and prepared a beautiful running event within the framework of the 10th anniversary Yellow Ribbon Run. Almost 100 people attended the event and a family waited for runners at the finish.
The 10th Yellow Ribbon Run kicked off in Příbram Prison
Příbram/Prague, March 29, 2025 — The 10th anniversary of the Yellow Ribbon Run (YRR), a run for the integration of people with a criminal past, was inaugurated in Příbram Prison. Nearly 100 convicts met at the launch, as well as representatives of the state administration, employees and ambassadors. This year's edition will be themed around families, not only the traditional ones, but also the Yellow Ribbon community. The main event for the public will take place on June 10, 2025 in Obora Hvězda in Prague.
Prague hosts European meeting of justice representatives for better integration of people with criminal past
In cooperation with Norway, representatives of European justice met in Prague to discuss awareness, support and integration of people with criminal backgrounds. The meeting was part of bilateral cooperation with the Norwegian Prison Service and the non-profit organization Yellow Tape, z. s.

Children symbolically fasten the Yellow Ribbon in Kynšperk nad Ohří Prison
The organization VOLONTE CZECH o.p.s. in cooperation with the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and the non-profit organization Žlutá stužka z. s. organized a special children's day in Kynšperk nad Ohří Prison. The event took place on October 19 and was intended for the children of convicted parents. The goal of this initiative is to enable children who grow up without one of their parents to experience joyful moments in the presence of their family members, while promoting the social inclusion of these families.
