We believe in second chances. Together, we are changing the stories of people out of prison
We are the largest community in the Czech Republic focused on people with criminal histories. We educate the public on the subject of prison and break down prejudices against those who have served time. We motivate society to give these people a second chance and support their return to normal life.
Why help people when they get out of prison?
It is extremely difficult to return to a normal life after serving a sentence. People often face rejection when looking for work, have nowhere to live and their relationships are broken. Without support and the opportunity to start again, they find themselves in a vicious circle - no job, no housing, no job. This is also why 70% of them go back to prison.
This is a topic that is little talked about, but it affects us all. People with criminal histories become our neighbours, our colleagues, our communities. Giving them a second chance at a fresh start is the way to a safer society.
There are approximately 20,000 people in Czech prisons.
About 10,000 people leave the prison each year.
One prisoner's day costs the company approximately 1800 CZK.
prisoners serve a sentence of less than 3 years for non-violent crime.
The way to crime prevention
Let's show that we can give people back from prison a chance to work, live and rebuild and strengthen relationships so that they can return to a full life and live with impunity.
Everyone can make mistakes, just as everyone has the right to a second chance if they want it.

Execution of sentence goes beyond prison walls
The execution of the sentence does not only affect the convicted person, but also his or her entire family. Children, partners and relatives often carry a stigmatising label that accompanies them at school, work and in public. Often for life. When we give a second chance to a person with a criminal record, we also help these invisible victims.

We greatly appreciate the trust we have received from the City of Prague, led by Councillor Antonín Klecanda, MBA, and also from the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, led by Dr. Jeroným Tejc. The event was also endorsed by Czech President Petr Pavel.
In his letter, the Minister of Justice praised the project for its long-standing efforts to break down prejudices, change society's perception of former convicts, and offer people with a criminal past and their families a second chance at a decent life. He also highlighted the project's contribution to crime prevention and reducing recidivism.
Thank you.
