Within the secured area of Stráž pod Ralskem Prison, on March 28, 2026, a qualifying race for the upcoming 11th annual Yellow Ribbon Run. 110 inmates successfully completed the two-kilometer course.This year's participation confirms the continuously growing interest in our sports and motivational activity. The entire event proceeded without complications thanks to the precise organization by the prison staff, who had to coordinate the start in groups due to the high number of runners.
Runners competed not only for self-confidence but also for attractive prizes – the top three in each group received thanks to the support of the General Directorate of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic an official Yellow Ribbon Run T-shirt, and the overall best received diplomas and tangible prizes.

Na děti a rodiče čeká doprovodný program, jako je obří Člověče, nezlob se a jiné herní aktivity. Vyrobit si můžete náramky a odznaky. A určitě si zasloužíte i popcorn, který bude k dostání zdarma u stánku Kafebouda.

"Juvenile delinquency can be prevented by increasing pressure on families as soon as a child starts exhibiting problematic behavior, for instance, at school," said Gabriela Slováková, director of the Probation and Mediation Service (PMS), at yesterday's press conference.

The 11th edition is held under the patronage of the President, the Ministry of Justice, and the City of Prague.
We greatly appreciate the trust we have received from the City of Prague, led by Councillor Antonín Klecanda, MBA, and also from the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, led by Dr. Jeroným Tejc. The event was also endorsed by Czech President Petr Pavel.
In his letter, the Minister of Justice praised the project for its long-standing efforts to break down prejudices, change society's perception of former convicts, and offer people with a criminal past and their families a second chance at a decent life. He also highlighted the project's contribution to crime prevention and reducing recidivism.
