On Tuesday, March 31st, the Probation House complex in Písek became the venue for the launch of the 11th annual Yellow Ribbon Run. This facility, operated by the Probation and Mediation Service, serves conditionally released men who are seeking assistance with their reintegration into society. A six-month intensive program awaits them, during which they will prepare for everyday life 'on the outside.' Since its opening, approximately 80 clients have passed through it, and although not all of them successfully reintegrated, most are doing well since their release.
Over a hundred participants gathered at the start, and the atmosphere was particularly enhanced by the Písek firefighters, who became important partners of the event. Runners finished their route directly at their station, where the firefighters provided facilities at the finish line and a tour of their emergency equipment. Representatives from the city of Písek, the South Bohemian Region Fire Rescue Service, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Písek Municipal Police, schools, a children's home, and numerous non-profit organizations ran with us: Romodrom, Fokus Písek, Therapeutic Community Karlov – SANANIM, Světlo Senior Home in Drhovle, Arkáda – Social-Psychological Center, NADĚJE, and the regional Caritas Czech Republic Písek.

Děkujeme, že jste běželi s námi
11. ročník je za námi a my vám chceme vzkázat jen jedno: DĚKUJEME. 💛 Společně jsme znovu ukázali, že běh umí spojovat lidi, bourat předsudky a otevírat dveře druhým šancím.
Na startu nás stálo téměř 1 200
Na startu letošního ročníku Yellow Ribbon Run se nás v Oboře Hvězda postavilo téměř 700.
- Přes 400 odsouzených se zúčastnilo běhů ve věznicích.
- 60 malých sportovců se zapojilo v dětském běhu.
- Rekord v účasti za zaměstnavatele a partnery letos drží společnost A-GIGA s 38 účastníky.

Děkujeme všem běžcům, dobrovolníkům, partnerům, zaměstnancům Vězeňské služby ČR, organizátorům i podporovatelům. Bez vás by Yellow Ribbon Run nebyl tím, čím je.

Zábava pro rodinu
Na děti a rodiče čeká doprovodný program, jako je obří Člověče, nezlob se a jiné herní aktivity. Vyrobit si můžete náramky a odznaky. A určitě si zasloužíte i popcorn, který bude k dostání zdarma u stánku Kafebouda.

The press conference for the 11th annual event was once again held at the Hilton Prague Atrium Hotel
"Juvenile delinquency can be prevented by increasing pressure on families as soon as a child starts exhibiting problematic behavior, for instance, at school," said Gabriela Slováková, director of the Probation and Mediation Service (PMS), at yesterday's press conference.
And it is precisely this year's edition will be dedicated to children and young people.. If you haven't registered yet, it's high time. We'll meet at the start in two weeks.
